Well, well, I am 8 days out from flying out of the states.
I have been thinking for the last week or so "I should update my blog, what all should I write about?". Absolutely nothing goes on in my head immediately following this question, then all of a sudden this rush of everything floods my brain. So I shove the initial question to a space far far away, most likely where everything else I have lost this past week has ran off to (more details on that later).
But the point is, that I have some good music going on via Spotify (The Worship Circle, you should check it out) and am finally sitting down to get this blog started.
Because no one likes ready a ton at a time, especially a ton of what I have to say, I am breaking up everything I have to say in a few blogs =) Here goes numero uno!
My last blog update I told you that I was $800-ish away from being fully funded for my trip. Those main costs include flight, tuition and mission trip. well... I am INCREDIBLYYYYY stoked to announce that I am fully funded!!!!! From a few donations, savings from work checks, design projects and photo shoots I have reached my goal!!!!!! I will continue to save and accept donations for costs along the way, like toiletries, supplies and more immunizations, once I get closer to my outreach phase, etc., but I am not too worried about that at all seeing the way that our God has provided for me so far!!!!
When I sit and just think (as an unemployed girl you have a lot of time to do this) about how I have gotten to this point, I can't help, but ask why. Why me God? I don't deserve this, why are you providing for me like this? The best answer that I have got and one that will completely suffice is because "I love you and I want to bless you". What has been even cooler is after I asked God why, I realized that I should be asking what. That is where it gets super exciting!!! He has blessed me with all this love, money, support, encouragement all to set me up for the what! What is he going to use me for?!! What is he going to do with me these next 6 months of my life?!!! I guess I'll begin to find out in 8 days =)
I wrote this prayer in my journal about a year and a half ago.
HE IS FAITHFUL AND HE IS ABLE =)
