A Breather

Just looking at my calendar for this month makes me a bit tired. Fundraisers, photo shoots, weddings and work. I am very excited for all that is to come, but at the same time I want to take a breath before every little thing and enjoy it to the max :)

Here is a little catch up...
I've been applying and praying for a job this summer and God completely showed up, just like He always does! This week I worked as a contracted photographer for my former employer, Triumph Seed, who I interned for last summer. Here is a little "professional lesson", take every opportunity and do the most you can with it. Figure out what you love to do and even if they don't ask you to, incorporate it into whatever you are doing at the time. It just might lead to something else and if not, you're enjoying doing what you love right? While doing my intern work last year I took photos along the way with my iPhone (thank you Steve Jobs). The company loved my photos so much, a few of them are on the company website (Triumphseed.com) as well as the seed guide for this upcoming year. Because of image quality when it comes to printing my photos weren't up to par, which lead to the opportunity of my boss asking me to take this week and travel specifically to recreate a few shots and build their photo library. It really. Lee my mind that I woke up every morning to get paid to do what I love and work with great people! I just got back from ATX this evening to end a great week. Here are a few photos from my week.

Also, I am so blessed and beyond thankful to say that Triumph has offered me a full time position for the summer until I leave for Germany. Now this is the REALLY cool part. Shows just how in control and detailed our God is. Every summer for the past few years I have been a huddle leader at the week long FCA Leadership camp in Abilene, Tx. I had already accepted the fact that if I was hired for a job there was really no way I would be able to make it this summer, but as my boss went through the details of the job I comprehended nothing after he said that I wouldn't start my job until mid June. Which in my head translated to "Allie I would love for you to go to FCA camp this summer"!!!

So, I'm up late packing for camp! Fellowship of Christian Athletes is such a huge huge reason why I have a personal relationship with Christ today. If the people at WT FCA had not taken the time to love me I would not know the love of Christ!! And I know that there are so many kids who don't understand or have any idea of how to live a life in submission to God, just as I had no clue. Giving a week of my summer to serve and be there for high school and jr high kids is an absolute honor. Not to mention you are able to serve along side other huddle leaders that absolutely love the Lord and are such an encouragement in each others walks. It is such a draining week, but completely worth it. I can't wait to see what the Lord is going to do and how we will be used! We head out at 9am!!

87 days until Germany! So ridiculous!! I've got my plane ticket and I am continuing to accept donations, fundraiser and earn money any way I can. That includes photo shoots and I am also selling my guitar. So if you or anyone you know might be interested let me know :) I have one fundraiser that I am really excited about!! It is in the planning stages so I'm not going to reveal it quite yet, but keep a look out!!!

Well that is all for know people!
Until next time, stay blessed!
