Allie Garcia | Portraits

Allie and I go way back. I first got to know her when I was in high school and our school district paired us up in our mentoring program.  I would go eat lunch with Allie once a week at the elementary.  Crazy to think that she is finishing up her first year of high school.  She made the cheerleading squad for next year and absolutely loves softball.  It was really fun to get to know her again and see the joy in her face when it comes to softball.  While her mom looked on the shoot she told me that Allie was determined that I was going to photograph her and was really excited when I was able to do it this spring break.  It was definitely a compliment and really humbling that she thinks so highly of me.  I find it a complete blessing to be able to go back to my community and hang out with the girls in my old high school.  So thank you Allie for choosing me =) Keep smiling and doing what you love.
